What does EUI mean?
EUI = Enhanced User Interface.
EUI was added to the SIS admin portal as an alternative to the classic interface in SIS 23.5. As of SIS 24.5, the classic interface was removed from the SIS and the EUI is the only admin interface available.
What are the main issues with sqlReports and the EUI?
There are two main issues:
- a missing left admin menu icon for sqlReports
- coding issues with some of the pages in sqlReports. The funtionality of sqlReports itself isn't affected, meaning it still works the same in terms of importing, creating, editing, and running of reports. The issues instead are related to the new interface only.
How do I fix the issues mentioned above?
The answer varies depending on which version of sqlReports is being used and will range from no changes needed with the most current version of sqlReports, to slight changes needed with some versions, to upgrading because the version of sqlReports is no longer supported. Below is a table showing the changes needed based on the version of sqlReports installed:
| sqlReports Version | Changes Needed |
| sqlReports 14.4 | None - sqlReports plugin contains admin left menu icon and page updates. |
| sqlReports 14.3.x | Admin Left Menu Icon needed. |
| sqlReports 14.0 - 14.2 | Upgrade to 14.3.x or 14.4. An issue introduced in 14.0 and fixed in 14.3 can cause blank reports when Add After Report Title is used with reports. See this blog post for more information. |
| sqlReports 13.x | Admin Left Menu Icon Needed. Page Updates Needed |
| sqlReports 4.x - 12.x | No Longer Supported Due to Compatibility Issues with the SIS. |
How to make any needed changes depends on if you have an active Site Subscription (formerly known as sqlReports Subscription) or not:
- If you have an active Site Subscription: you can download and install sqlReports 14.4, or there are 2 plugins that you can download and install to continue using sqlReports 13 - 14.3.x. One plugin adds the left menu icon (see below) and the other adds page updates. The plugins can be found in the Downloads - sqlReports Versions - EUI Add-Ons folder once you're logged in to this site.
- If you have a free account or an inactive Site Subscription: login to the site and follow the instructions in the How to Fix EUI Issues that Occur in sqlReports knowledgebase article. If you don't have an account for the site, you can apply for a free one using the Account Application page under the Login menu.
Where does the sqlReports EUI menu icon appear once changes are made?
If you install sqlReports 14.4 or the menu plugin mentioned in the 1st bulleted item above, then the link will appear like below in the Reports menu that's part of the Data and Reports left menu:
