Frequently Asked Questions - Site Subscription

Yes - the subscription was originally called the sqlReports Subscription but is now called the Site Subscription.  On quotes and invoices it may be referred to as the Freund Resources Site Subscription.

Yes - login to this site and click on the Order Information link under the Login menu and you'll see your order history.  The information will only appear for the primary contact.

No - the subscription is not tied to the plugin but instead is a subscription to this web site in order to access premium downloads, articles, and reports from this site.

No - the subscription does not automatically change any version of sqlReports that is installed.  If you need to update sqlReports, you'll need to download from this site the latest versions of sqlReports and install it.

Yes.

The latest version of sqlFormLetters is free and now known as FormLetters+.  One does not need the subscription to download FormLetters+ and use it.  However, versions before that - sqlFormLetters 5.x and prior - are only available as part of the Site Subscription.

A version known as sqlExports Premium is available as part of the Site Subscription.  It differs from sqlExports Pro in that it only saves files to the report queue and not to the hard drive.   sqlExports Premium is the only version available to users because sqlExports Pro is no longer being sold - please see this blog post for more information.

No - however, a PO is a binding agreement to pay, so in the absence of a PO, payment is required to complete the transaction.   If no PO is being used, someone in finance can request an invoice be sent based on the quote, and once payment is received, the subscription will start or renew. 

Customers in the United States can pay by check, credit card, bank transfer, or PayPal.  Customers outside of the United States can pay by credit card or PayPal.  ACH payments are not accepted and the bank transfer method is not the same as an ACH payment.  Please see the last page of your quote for more information on payment options.

The subscription will start on the day a copy of the PO is received - or if there's no PO, when payment is received based on the requirements of the quote - and run for one year.   If a PO is post dated, the subscription will start on the date posted on the PO.

No - due to the way pricing works, subscriptions for the first year are not prorated.  However, after the first year, subscriptions can be prorated.  Please contact Matt for more information.

No - when it's time to renew, the district must provide a screenshot of the current total number of active students at the time and pricing will be based on that screenshot.

Only if your business operates schools, such as charter schools.

No - Freund Resources is the sole provider and if a sole source letter is needed, please let Matt know.

No - the organization you work for when you order the subscription is the owner of the subscription.  If you wish to use a subscription at your new job, your new organization must purchase a subscription. 

Yes - subscriptions are not sold to any district that employs anyone who has violated the Terms of Use of the site, regardless of where they were working when the violation happened.

In some states, schools are expected to pay sales tax on any purchase.  For a long time, remote sellers (sellers not located in the school's state) did not have to collect sales tax on online sales or online products, but that changed a few years ago.  Due to the change, some states have set minimum requirements that a remote seller has to be meet in order to collect sales tax for online sales or online products.  When a customer mentions in 1B above that they aren't exempt from state sales tax, Freund Resources checks on the state requirements regarding online sales, and if the minimum requirements aren't met, the statement that Freund Resources does not meet the requirements is included on the quote to explain why sales tax is not included on the quote.

After you login to this site, you should see a grey box on the login landing page with the information.  You can also check the Order Information page under the Login menu when you're logged in and see the information there.

No - customers are not automatically billed for renewals.  Customers must request a quote if they wish to renew.

Yes - you will receive an email approximately two months prior to the expiration date, and if needed, another one month prior to the expiration date.  However, If your last payment was late, you will only receive the first email.  The emails will come from Matt's freundresources.com email address, so please make sure email from that email address and domain are not being blocked.  The date emails are sent will added to your Order Information page on this site, so if you see an email was sent, but you did not receive anything, please contact Matt.

No - you can renew at any time.

It depends on the the current number of active students.  Please see the Subscription Pricing page for current pricing.

You'll still be able to login to this site, however, you'll no longer have access to the content that comes with a subscription, and you'll no longer receive any support for any of the downloads you're using.   You will still be bound by the Terms of Use of this site and are not allowed to share any content you downloaded with anyone outside your district.

Yes - you can renew your subscription at any time and will still be eligible for renewal pricing and the repeat customer discount.
